my Coffee My sweet sunrise

my Coffee My sweet sunrise

A Poem by Benita-Staebell M - KindredPoet
"

Part of this was inspired by the song Barry Manilow - I Was A Fool. written Aug. 6 2014

"

Chocolate candy

cane whispers.

What about chocolate cotton

candy kisses.

Black coffee with dark

silk wrapped the flavor.

Lonely nights without

your good mornings.

You were the coffee and

my sweet candy in the sunrise.

Why did I let you go

please come back.

No sunshine without

you beautiful love.

My black coffee was

sweet with you.

You blended this with the words of candy --- chocolate and coffee...and the meanings seems a departure of a someone...as how this unfolds in the scale of things...as I read the lines...the coffee is not quite the same in retrospect as when it was --- with that person...

Love does make everything better, colors are brighter, birds sing sweeter and food taste better.

A very tasty little poem of longing.

I really like this. It is beautiful. I would suggest one thing, however, and take it as you wish. If you read the line, "why did I let you go" in my opinion it sounds better on one line. It might be a form thing, but I don't think it would disrupt it to much to leave it on one line.
