The call to the VoidA Poem by Gideon X. A. ElsonThis is a poem that I've re written from another I wrote in 2009 ... its an emotionally written piece centered around one's place in life without purpose or meaning.
You never seem to make up your mind.
With satisfaction so hard to find. And you wonder now how to repair this mess. That's left you in austere distress. The trigger pulled and life begins. Again and again without an end. The trigger pulled one grand surprise. This thing called death, our great demise! So horrible though, our miserable existence? But to take up arms in one last resistance. And cease all love without emotion. And heal the broken hearts without devotion. Alas! Resume this killing and fulfill your filling. Imminent now, but with no shame to concede. For we can not all triumph the l'appel du vide. © 2022 Gideon X. A. ElsonReviews
