A world not worth living in

A world not worth living in

A Poem by Justaman

How many lives have been taken21,
how many deaths does it take to see until our intellect is breakin in22
for no sakes no f***s takin our own race then23
when will it be enough for our taxes to be shakin24,
our homes annalated and taken away and no more technicality to make then25
why do we not rise against the system and make it naked26
strip its source, its enterprise like corns flakin, make it into mash and corn flake them27
The reality is they own us and we own ourselves, how much longer to live in hell or dwell will we take to swell our wounds, our hearts, our heads and our delts?28
havent we felt' enough of their power and their pain, their rein over our jobs and our civilization, our entire sanity has become unsane; isnt that insane, that we lay poverous, while 4 percent lies rich29
lets rise and take what has always been ours, not a revolution but a series of revolutions to make a transition30
, what is it that we are insisten, to die in gas and fossil fuelic poisons,31
while we lose our lives and our minds, why despise ourselves, 32
when you know it us not i but them, if we used science and our resources33,
we could restore- everything across the planet, 34
eradicate the eradication of death, suffering, sufferage, unecessary incompetence, and we could adore our planet35

I really enjoyed this poem. I think that this idea of rising up against this 'system' is one that many young adults agree with. You bring to light the wrongdoings of the system that supposedly structures our world. Your ideas presented in this poem make the reader think about these things that we don't always take notice of but are all around us. I only have two questions: what are the numbers at the end of each line, and I could be mistaken but does "eradicate the eradication of death, suffering, etc." mean to not eradicate those things? Is that what you meant to say? Otherwise, well done, this was a well-written poem.
