Cleansing Fires

Cleansing Fires

A Poem by Franki Valerie

"
My Father;
Recovering from a night downtown
His face down in the gutter
My Brother;
Violence embodied- Punching
Loqui’s essence spreading cruel rumours
Chicken Giblets on the pressure cooker
Shadows fading
Skin breaking. Scarlet.
My fire to cleanse their sins
