The Workings.

The Workings.

A Poem by Franki Valerie
"

Needed a quick release and a break from the book.

"
Too much to do
Too much to say
Not enough hours in the day.

The workplace buzzes
Cogs turning
Wheels grinding
Chatterers Chattering.
Printers printing
scanners scanning

Coffee? Love one.

Home-time soothes
But a mocking bird sits on the living room door.
Don't you have something better to do?

How quickly the mind jumps
away from original thoughts,
feelings,
memories,
queries,
That song's stuck in my head again.

Its an empty happiness
Yet it fills me with confidence
And hope
That something more will come.

like it, the begining, the mocking bird on the living door to the encouragement at the end.
