Dead silence

Sitting in the darkness
not a sound in the world.
The silence is deafening its making my blood rush.
Im listening for the clock to strike to tell if im awake.
Still the silence consumes my world in bitter moments
The silence makes me feel the pain the loss and all that i have done.
Make the silence disappear before it brings the memories.
The silence...The dead silence...

I wrote a poem quite like this on my page. I like the concept of silence being maddening. It is always funny how silence seems to drown out everything around us and comsume us.
