PossessedA Poem by Georgiana
The beautiful image
Of you and your "lover" in the future Spending your lives together. "Repulse me". You'll stare through the fogged image As it disintegrates Your mangled insides shrivelling up Turning into a black dust. "Lover" will speak to you and when you try to reply Your jaw has fallen apart And turned into black dust. You can't really hear him speak You hear this echo instead Blurred words within your head thrashing against the insides of your skull. You'll tell yourself it's a beautiful image Don't you want to spend the rest of your life with him? You're in love you're in love. You'll try to look really pretty for him Whilst he's tripping you up every time he walks near you in public. You're falling down down At this strange pace And you're too tired to move You're falling Between two cliff edges with jagged rocky sides slowing your fall by tearing into your skin Moving your head sleepily You'll notice, all over your body, no redness No bruises Just patches of milk white skin And thick black fog Gracefully pouring out of the areas of absent skin. Falling deeper and deeper into suffocation The suffocation of the mask he made for you. Falling falling You're falling and falling Falling deeper with dust falling into your eyes and you're thinking This is love You're falling in love You'll do anything for your "lover" You have fallen in love This must be love. © 2015 GeorgianaReviews
