An Astronomer's ConfessionA Poem by Jeffrey GershomThe intense feeling I have looking up at the sky during a clear, beautiful night. An Astronomer's Confession
Stars, I see them in your eyes sparkling with life lasting eons. When I look at the virgin expanse of the celestial heavens, I see you. You comfort me during long, nightly vigils. Your many beauties outreach the concept of infinity. When the clouds hide your presence, I still see you in my memories, in my pictures. But for someone like me, I can only relate to the things within the boundry of my own time. My home lies within the pure milk of your warm and tender breasts, nourishing my heart, my soul and my mind. When I look at you I see hope, lasting hope, infinite hope. I shall always behold you with intense love and respect. © 2010 Jeffrey GershomAuthor's Note
