Pillow

Pillow

A Poem by Jaime

I see you've still got that pillow

Was it for your birthday? Christmas?

Spontaneous?

I threw everything out thought you threw everything out but there it is a piece of our past

I came to watch you sleep.

Eyes shut, soft breath,

you drift to dreams upon your bed.

Of all the things you keep.

Eyes shut, soft breath,

the gift I gave under your head.
