I Kissed DeathA Poem by Geralyn MillerI've kissed Death more than a time or two; danced with him twice. Once, we waltzed to the gates of forever; but the draw of family lured me back to the Earthly realms.
Death taught me many things, the small joys of life and just how precious they are; the value of loyal friends; and the absolute pointlessness of amassing earthly wealth. Death allowed me to understand that an earthly life is but a flicker on the course of eternity, and once we have completed our Earthly lessons; our spirits will forever dwell in the halls of eternity.
Death and I are old friends.
