Curtain Call

Curtain Call

A Poem by Geralyn Miller
"

a poem of Theatre

"

          Ego trip

don't want to come down

Queen of the hour

Angel of the moment

Brightest star in all the universe

                am I

Sweeping bows to all around me

          my people

          all mine.

                   smiles

            laughter

        tears

   delight

in their faces love for me

     . . . and then

the applause ends

the curtain falls . . .
