Fire Fighter

Fire Fighter

A Poem by Geralyn Miller
"

WOTD #34

"

     A walk into hell,

no qualms or trepidation,

    to save a child's life.

    Fire and death surround,

roaring and crashing so loud

    muffling the child's cry.

     Grab the small, limp form,

struggle through the flame and ash;

     reach the cool; alive.

Fire fighters.........and saving lives, countless do it daily..........what a great poem, to save a life, and breath cool air, you capture it all, the power of a fire, like hell, and the uplifting moment of finding the child, and get out alive.........great imagery.
