Battlecry:  A Sunrise

Battlecry: A Sunrise

A Poem by Geralyn Miller

fearfully creeping,

dawn comes softly,

silently;

heralding a wary sun.

peeping over the tops

of ravaged mountains,

fearing the mortar fire

that fills the valley.

dawn creeps in

like a badly frightened child.
