Wake Up Call

Wake Up Call

A Poem by Geralyn Miller

Get up!   Get up!

Shouts shrilly shrieking

the clock aside my bed.

Slumber I softly,

dreaming of gentle yesterdays

And pleasant tomorrows;

Unwilling, unwanting,

to face Today.

Just five more minutes,

Please?
