Answering Service

Answering Service

A Poem by Geralyn Miller

Buzz, Ring, Whirr!

"Thank you for calling!"

Click, Clack, Ding!

"Good morning, sir, it's 8AM."

"Your name and number, please?"

"Post 6 to Base . . ."

"One moment, please."

"Mr. Smith isn't in."

"Sunday the plumber charges double overtime."

"Dr. Elder is on call."

"May I take a message?"

"Dispatch Police to Post 43."

"Alarm desk, line 7. . ."

"Dr. Mock, an emergency for you."

"Base to mobile three."

Accounting, 816 on line 2."

"Good Morning, it's 8:15AM."

Clunk, Buzz, Ding!

Whirr, Ring, Click!

"Thank you for calling!"

Well, actually, that's the truth on service.
'hi' then ' bye'. Just nothing surprising is this kind of job. Your poem give people lots of space to think and imagine, you poin9lead0 the think way in your peom, and this kind of poem is great!
