Past Into Present

Past Into Present

A Poem by Geralyn Miller

I wish you were no one,

and I was the same;

no past to hinder us,

no one to hurt.

Reality intrudes,

 we must make choices.

No matter the path

we choose-----

we lose.

I very much enjoy this type of poetry- it gives the reader space to choose the inner meaning of the situation behind the words. Thanks for sharing.

This holds such mystery in the words.. the past how it haunts us sometimes.. carried with us always. And yes, it can hinder us from joys and pleasures now. So moving.
