Inspiration

A Poem by Geralyn Miller
"

result of a period of writer's block

"

Inspiration sometimes fails me;

a thought I cannot capture,

a dream I cannot find.

At other times,

words tumble, uncontrolled;

in senseless disarray'

roiling through my mind, unordered.

Then, there are the rare and perfect times,

spark ignites a wildfire

that burns away the dross;

leaving a true and sculpted thought

to speak of life and dreams.
