VAMPIRE

VAMPIRE

A Poem by Geralyn Miller

Prowl, she does,

in her shark swift rounds;

she goes about

and a round about.

Search, she does,

in her cat slink hunts,

she goes silent,

and hunting, silent.

Tempt, she does,

in her devilish lure,

she goes cunningly,

and lures, cunningly.

Devour, she does,

in her heartless pass;

she goes cruel,

and passing cruel.

Care, she doesn't,

in her heedless life;

she goes thoughtless,

and lives thoughtless.

I really love this. The succubus feel to it is very nice. I also like that you stick true to form concerning the vampire mythology. It's dark, but still beautiful so the mood of the poem fits what vampires are. Dark and beautiful. Very nice.

Love this vampire poem. There's a coldness to the vampire, which is more like their nature should or at least, use to be. They need blood to survive so why feel bad about taking it? Outstanding write.

Hello Geralyn,

Vampires....What would we really do if there were vampires in this world? Would you be one? I like how you have the word repeat. Unique. To me anyway, still a fascinating read. Well written.

Could you bring yourself to take someone's life? Maybe a better question is have you done this? My mind wanders sometimes when I try to think about this. I travels from scene to scene....you know blood bath or swift and clean. I think I have settled on strangulation, it's an eye thing. Weird I know. But trust me its quite thrilling.

Always,

Matthew
