Based off the painting by Caspar David Friedrich, 1818, this poem represents the mystery and power of nature. A man who has climbed high to witness the sublime fears the continuous growth of nature.
Georgina, it is a wonderful poem. You have described the painting very vividly and in a lovely manner.
How very beautiful lines these are- where you compare the cloud of fog with the gathering of angels. The nature has got many exemplary sights for man to see- those who see closely can enjoy the true face of nature.
"With a cloud of fog that
mimics the gathering of angels."
"For the earth is music for he who listens"
Good work. Keep writing.

Ah! I'm not always a fan of accompanying art, but this piece incorporates it quite well. This poem is grandiose in tone and feels right at home with it. However, I feel like I'm getting bits and pieces of the whole work, not a complete understanding of the whole picture.

Thank you so much for the review, i'll work on that :D

I love it when people use images or videos or songs as stimuli. This is such a lovely poem for this image and I love the 'Sublime, Satisfaction, Strive' line! The only possible thing I can comment on to change is the lowercase 'i' in stanza 2 ;) Other than that, awesome, keep up the good work :D

I've never used a picture before but have seen others doing it so thought I would give it a go, think it went well for a first try! Glad you enjoyed it. I'll get to changing that, there's one in the first stanza too, whoops!

Capturing the mosaic ways which hidden secrets lay in between an observer and the constant motion of Nature's movements. To my eyes Existentialism is displayed with the painting and philosophy that emphasizes individual existence, freedom and choice. It is the view that humans define their own meaning in life, and try to make rational decisions despite existing in an irrational universe. It focuses on the question of human existence, and the feeling that there is no purpose or explanation at the core of existence. It holds that, as there is no any other transcendent force, the only way to counter this nothingness (and hence to find meaning in life) is by embracing existence.
Thus, Existentialism believes that individuals are entirely free. It therefore emphasizes action, freedom and decision as fundamental.
Often, Existentialism as a movement is used to describe those who refuse to belong to continuance. I felt innovating messages and enlightened heart in this well crafted poem of yours cause it captures the spiritual being breathing upon the observer's skin of solitude entangled with nature in front of his windows. Keep writing. Sincerely your friend in poetry and life.

Your description of the mountain top is very poetic & flowing & visual. The poem starts out suggesting that everything below the mountain top is obscured by fog. Then there's a very specific description of the land below that follows. This seems a little incongruous to me, but not distracting or lacking in meaning. Everything is perfectly described with much interesting imagery. But I'm not getting a cohesive thread thru-out the message. More like separate observations, maybe leaving it to the reader to connect the dots.

Truly amazing. What I like the most about your works so far is that they feel very real. Your choice of words is very good and has given a beautiful flow to the poem. "I will now not cease, For the earth is music for he who listens." that's absolutely fantastic. Well done!

I'm learning to write poetry now so I'm following more and more poems and this one is truly a beautiful piece which really expressed the beauty and adorable senses of poetry... The setting of the poem is marvelous and it has nice flow too.... Clappings.... You definitely did justice with poetry's true beauty...
