Music

One of my passions, other than poetry is music and i thought about how much it has done for me.

The chorus lingers in my mind like a bad smell,
Planted in my brain- wont budge it's like concrete.
The melody travels up my spine giving me goosebumps,
Enchanting my body from head to feet.
Music possesses such strong powers,
Can make you cry,laugh,dance for hours and hours.
If upset with music you can't go wrong,
Head in your pillow listening to your favourite song.
Lifts your spirits and energises your mind,
No other pleasure is that easy to find.
Where ever you are, your surrounded by music,
Simply the worlds best analgesic.
