The Meadow

The Meadow

A Poem by George

The Meadow:
.
There's a meadow in my mind
Through which you wander
As do I
.
With the meadow you'd whisper
The willows; the whippoorwills
No longer
.
Phantom rain
Specks the maize
Though it falls when you move
.
But the sun
Still rises
As will I

Author's Note

George
Inspired by a novel I am/was trying to write. I see a long-haired boy and a short-haired woman and I see myself.
