Motherless

Motherless

A Poem by George

Motherless:
a
Mawkish whimpers wane,
Vestige of love remain,
For he cannot abstain,
From the love which he so craves.
a
Lonesome malady inflicted,
The scars inside his heart depicted,
The sorrow with which he'd been afflicted,
From the lack of love he had received.
h
For so long he was bereft,
Of coveted touch, there formed a cleft,
Inside his soul, or what was left,
For he craved that meretricious touch.
d
Now he lie a lonesome fawn,
As he watched the sinking, bitter dawn,
He prayed with scorn to be reborn,
And slit his throat upon a thorn.
