Dunes

Dunes

A Poem by George
"

First thing I ever wrote. Plants begin to emerge in a desert. The desert dies as the plants flourish. [Written - 16.06.2024}

"
Latent life befell,
Upon the canvas of death.
Usurping stranger,
Rears its unclenched fist.
 .
Harbinger of unbidden paradise,
Heeds her rhetoric pleas.
Forsaken curves draped,
In a tangle of dun.
.
From life came death,
To her serpentine skin.
Forlorn stranger,
Mewls against her breast.
,
Mother.
Stranger.
.
Hear me.
Heresy.
.
Disillusion.

It's like sitting on the ground in a dark, narrow space and putting your head between your hands. This poem made me experience that. Congratulations on your first writing, we look forward to the rest, my friend. Welcome.
