PrisonerA Poem by George CoombsPlease read carefullyPrisoner
thinking of you now:
sky heavy, leaves fall through air chill with threatening,
a closing in on a solitary mind tremulous in its
searching, prisoner entombed in life beyond sight
in building planted among the poor state sanctioned
malignancy no, it does not “work” no-one is safe good people made bad bad made worse
let us think again indeed let us think
ignorance, mentally in the shallow end gives no safe place
ignorance is not bliss ignorance is ignorance
