Actually, George, this is composed in Skeltonic Verse form, and perfectly, too, I might add.
A brilliant piece, My Friend, that not only expresses the worn condition age brings on, but the awareness of that which is around us to be effected by, and a message of how to remedy it.
Great stuff, George, from a masterful pen!
Check this out:
the way to get touch? (did you mean tough?)
Just roar “enough!”
I don't mean to be picky … stuff, sometimes, just jumps out at me … LOL!
Actually, I think your rap could rival Snoop Dog and LL Cool J, Ice T, et al.
Whatever, you know I love it, eh?
Diolch yn fawr, Fy Chyfaill ⁓ Richard :)
Note:
Skeltonic Verse which today is sometimes, also, referred to as Tumbling Verse, is from the 15th century, when English poet John Skelton (1460-1529) created short lines which resemble the hemistich of the Tumbling Verse of King James ... the lines are of irregular dipodic meter, with a tumbling rhyme.
And, here's a very clear and entertaining treatise on this amazing classical form:
