Holding Silence

Holding Silence

A Poem by George Coombs
"

early morning

"

Holding Silence

holding silence

close in the heart

needing refuge

from interior noise...

walking slowly

feeling a gathering

hush, sense of unearthly

here in the innocent

bird anthemed morning...

modest foliated trees

are symbols of yearning

for truth and clear seeing.

ripples roam the lake...

tremulous strings offering

music to my waking eyes...

oneness of all life,

whispers... light unending

B
Very beautifully done
nature sets in
and the mind wanders in the bounties of life
and silence sets in
