autumn Lullabye

autumn Lullabye

A Poem by George Coombs
"

Another one remembering my late mother who I cared for for many years

"

Autumn Lullaby

(For Mum)

Sleep calm

Beloved one

This autumn

Now when

Leaves are

Falling, voices

In nature

Gently calling

Saying time

For rest

Has come

So sleep

In peace

Beloved one.

Though you

No longer

Live this

Life you

Have gone

Into the

Blessed light

No more

Pain no

Desperate tears.

Healing, safety

Now has

Come as

You sleep

Waking in

Bliss my

Beloved one.

We each become like an orphaned child when we lose a parent, no matter the age. May your memories console you and comfort you each new tomorrow!
