Briney Blue

Briney Blue

A Poem by Veronica Ostling-Hirschberg
"

A short little thing I wrote for a project a while ago.

"
The fog collecting above our ankles drives me
closer to you, laughing at the stars in the deep sea.
Shadowy rain clings to our hair and clothes;
I've never felt so renewed and vibrant.
The rocks on the shore become our chairs in observing
the booming opera of crashing waves.
Your breath whispers in the cold night,
scary stories so I'll hold onto you on the walk back.
Sweet air kisses my cheeks, a spray of ocean dew.
The world has never been this beautiful;
I love you.

Briney Blue.
