HeA Poem by Veronica Ostling-Hirschberg
She had climbed vast chasms without him before
that now she saw as impossible when he's gone weeping for every moment lost she fears when the time comes and he vanishes before her eyes they both know time runs short and that it could end at anywhere but they keep up the hope that maybe they'll be some of the lucky two who make it to old age who have shared a lifetime with each other But she knows that the world isn't a nice place he could be snatched from her in the night or on his way back with a dozen roses for her to find only after the call has been made Laying in a stilled fright she thinks endlessly
"What will I do if he's gone?" I cannot imagine I could do a thing. © 2013 Veronica Ostling-HirschbergReviews
