Missing You

Missing You

A Poem by Genevive

All the little, yet, significant parts

that make the whole of you,

are held in my aching heart

until I see you next.

I will wait a lifetime,

so long as you promise

to come back to me.

Very well written and honestly thought out. It rings very true.
Good luck with your endeavors.

Some promises are hard to keep. I like the desire and the motion of the poem. Separation can create yearning and a more powerful love. I like the ending to the excellent poem.
