A Mother’s WorldA Poem by Genevieve Robinson McKibbenA Mother’s World
A Mother’s work is never done, It’s much too full of run and run; My life each day with children four, Has shown me a Mother’s score.
There’s two in school and two at home Who daily keep me on the roam, With “tan I Mama, tan I play?” My baby’s talk rates A-plus-A!
Now when I think my day’s ‘bout though There’s always something happening new- Like when their bantam hatched her ten, Right to the house they brought them in.
But then I know without my four That life would be a lonesome bore, For they’re my joy, my life, my glow… I love them all from head to toe! © 2016 Genevieve Robinson McKibbenAuthor's Note
