i love the way this is no longer true #17

A Poem by Luther

Sometimes things just don’t go as planned

Three weeks ago I asked her to marry me

Today I sit alone

On the cum stained sheets of a hotel room

And stare into the bathroom

Where her bleeding body lay.

I shouldn’t have done this

I shouldn’t have taken her here one last time

I should have let him thrust his hips

Deep into her lacking gender

And just watch

Sit and watch

Turning sex to porn

Turning love to torture

Wanking on the scene which tore my heart.

very seldom does a poet write something that makes me feel this guilty about watching it unfold . . . I think I'll just back quietly out of the room now and pretend I didn't see a thing
