Silver Forest

Silver Forest

A Poem by Luther

I’ll build my den

Upon your den

So we’re closer to the clouds.

So we can sit on my roof

On clear summer nights

And look for heart shaped stars.

So we can sit there

In the winter

And feel alive under the rain.

So we can brush the leaves

On treetops

Which will not be brushed again.

And we can drop to your den

When there’s f**k all in the sky

And search for little fairies

In mushrooms and toadstools.

We can waft through

The thorny briar patch

Where no man or beast has been,

And look for golden berries

Which sparkle in the light,

Then find the silver forest

To lay a head and spend the night

Together.

...then what a most perfect intimacy this would be for two in love forever.
