Sometimes #4

Sometimes #4

A Poem by Luther

Sometimes it’s best

To tell a lie

When the truth will cause

So much pain.

Sometimes its best

To hide from the fact

When the fiction

Is in your domain.

Sometimes I sit

On the curb by your house

At night and I

Stare at your window.

And sometimes I lie

At the bed of the sea

And I dream

Oh I dream

(As my lungs long to breathe

And my mouth to scream)

That you were here

Lying beside me

And that I could smell your hair on my pillow.
