Carving Stones with History

Carving Stones with History

A Poem by Luther

You smile at the sound
Of me leaving the ground
As I orbit your heart
And the earth and the stars.
Then you sing me a tune
As we land on the moon,
This is the path our love crafts tonight,
This is the scene in which our eyes see a sight.

Halcyon dreams of idyllic days
Entwined in our mind with pleasure and play,
Then as we wake, rubbing our eyes,
These utopian thoughts are cast aside.
Now as our time drifts by, I can see,
The humdrum truths surrounding me,
Writing the book of reality,
Carving the stones with our history.
