Pondering Thoughts of the Lonesome

Pondering Thoughts of the Lonesome

A Poem by Luther

Desperation takes it's toll, on me,
A wise but lonely soul,
With friend a plenty in my head,
But with the harshest bite of reality
I spend my days so lonesome,
Away from the society that ridiculed me
Just for being the coy thing that I am today.
But, as I sit there with no one else around,
My mind has time to ponder upon the thoughts
Which are so fluently bypassed by most.
And then I can see that this life
Which appears such a drudgery,
Is little more than a spirited flight
Towards the eventual freedom that engulfs us all.
And so, me, although so alone in life
Will end up by the side of all
When my day decides to draw to it's inevitable end.
