Very Heavenly Creatures

Very Heavenly Creatures

A Poem by Gene Von Banyard

We merge and I am lost.

Blood & fire quicken the dead.

Ivy creeps around the spine,

Ghosts breathe,

Witches twirl,

Today, your turn,

Tomorrow, a shard of broken glass.

Please, I beg of you, make the sun smile?
