In Memoria

In Memoria

A Poem by Gene Von Banyard

There is a part of me that I wish never came to be.

Whenever it beckons I try to mute its solicitous voice but all I ever do is

Drink to my own memory for I am already dead and a monster has been born.

There is a secret, an act, never before performed.

I like this one, it is dark and delicious to my lips as they read.
