Pity

Pity

A Chapter by MarieCo214
"

Juliet's older sister

"

Does he wish to kill her

Give a slow death we cannot afford

Keep strumming worn strings

Break one by one til he hits a chord

She will scream, go crazy, and cry

No longer sane as she proceeds to die

Fate in my eyes can be so unkind

It is clear through the reflection of glass

Playing its devious tricks on an innocent mind

So then she cannot let the nightmare pass

Every day she loves to sit and look out her window

Not knowing she waits for a two-faced Romeo

Many days she reminds me of some doll

And I wonder where has dear Juliet gone

It must be that boy who has taken her heart

He's using her, playing with her

In a game for her too cruel and smart

I have seen this boy take off his cunning mask

Smiling like the devil and in chaos he'll bask

In the pain and fear of others he takes delight

Breaking hearts and manipulating night

Love and fear in my sister's broken reflection

I can see the depth of her uncanny affection

She will hear him call her name

And then we’ll repeat the nightly game

Not believing it’s truly him each night

That comes to give her a deadly fright
