Trap

Trap

A Chapter by MarieCo214
"

Juliet

"

I see a teenage boy and girl

Who fall in love at first sight

Through tragedy and unto death

It's the same dream every night

With a scream I wake again

Feeling chills I remember then

As I look up to my shattered window

I see the dream that can't let go

A single line within my head

Repeating as I lie in my bed

“For never was there a story of more woe

Than that of Juliet and her Romeo”

What is this line I've never heard

It is foreign and strange in a way I dare not tell

It spells mirsfortune I have never felt

But gives life to my neverending hell

Someone save me from this darkening plight

Give me life and show me light

I can't stand much more of this

Stop my fall into that black abyss

A foul wind beats upon the clear glass

Brief freedom from the dream but alas

False eyes fill me with fright

I curl up and fear the night

There, beyond the barrier of my window

A dream sits and stares free

The apparition that is named Romeo

Who each night comes for me
