Princess of Winter

Princess of Winter

A Story by MarieCo214
"

Make a choice. Will you go with her or will you stay and die?

"

Walking through the cold white blanket coating the barren land, she is a ghost of the winter’s heart. Her eyes are lifeless and dull, empty pools of chilling ice. Frozen lips curve into a complacent impassive smile as her eyes meet yours. She is a tall thin beauty, heavy with refinement in every contour of her body, turning to you with the silence of the snow and intensity of the bitter cold. Keeping her distance, she waits. The choice to stand and try to follow her is yours. Die in the snow, away from this cold ephemeral beauty or follow her to the castle of ice and darkness, attaining a heart of bitter content. Watch as her silver hair blows in the blizzard torrent of the winter’s homeland, she will not reach out to you or turn to you a second time.

Without hesitation or a heart to care, she will turn from and walk away, into the distance where the heart of the blizzard awaits for her. You would never know the frozen bite of the blizzard, you would never know the dark shard she would unintentionally place in your heart. Under her wing, in her cold enticing embrace, you would only feel content and when she pulls away, the need to please her and be in her arms once again. Wouldn’t you want that? Never to have to concern yourself with the world, never knowing the sting or call of death ever again, to be cherished by this beauty of the winter’s heart. Who would ask for anything else? Live in comfort, feel her fragile touch, know the highest form of content, you will be happy.

Love, you worry about love. Why must you worry for love? If you follow her, you will be content with happiness. No more pain, no more hurt, you don’t have to hide yourself, you don’t have to worry about others, you don’t have to concern yourself with death or aging anymore. That’s the best thing ever. Who needs love with such a life of content? All you’d need is the princess of the winter, the coveted daughter of the winter’s distant heart. She will love you, she will cherish you. You don’t need anything else. You don’t need to feel love anymore. Follow her…follow the princess to the palace of ice.

A strange mortal. Will you suffer, force yourself to suffer? Mortals are so strange, putting themselves through so much pain just to have a few moments of happiness and then lose it all to my mother. They should follow when they are given the chance. Pain is never good, there is even a limit to how much a masochist will love it. Why don’t you follow me? Serve me, cherish me, live with me and I will give you eternity. Be my pet and my servant, don’t worry about love and suffering and what is deserved in the world. I will free you of that hurt. Come to me. Come with me and I will love you. I will be your world and free you of death, of aging, of your mortality. It’s not dying. You will be reborn. Come with me, mortal. Don’t refuse me and die here in the snow. Don’t suffer anymore, don’t feel the torturous pains of the world, of your mind, of your emotions, of your heart. Come, follow me and I will bring you to a new home…

follow!!!
its so tempting the offer
but then again i dont want an eternity to remember and to think of all the things i did and did not do
if it is to an eternity of forgetfulness i would follow, if only i do not remember what i forgot
or remember that i forgot...
