Unnamed Creator

A Story by MarieCo214
"

A story I wrote a while ago. I came up with the idea when I was thinking of God and the Devil. The theme is "What if there is a third?"

"

“I’m scared, god, I don’t want to die!”

The girl stopped and listened. She could hear the cries of the innocent people around her; she could feel their pain and suffering. Restraining her tears, she closed her eyes, clasped her hands together, and whispered, “No, no, don’t save me. Save the people here who cry to live. Save them, god, please.”

Yes, I will grant your wish. These people will live.

A heavenly light radiated around the girl and grew. A circle of light flowed out from her, one circle after another. The light’s rays cleared the fire, stabilized the remaining parts of the building, cleared the skies of smoke, and lifted the people from the ruins to safety. People, who had gathered around and watched the previous devastation, now gazed in awe at the miracle, the phenomenon taking place before their eyes. From the skies above, a single beam of light shined through the clouds into the ashes.

The girl opened her eyes when she noticed that she could feel no more pain, no more desperation. She stood up, looking up to see the single beam of light shining on her. Smiling gently, she said to the heavens, “Thank you, god, for granting my wish to help them.” Without even having to see it or confirm it, the girl could sense someone looking down at her and smiling too, saying, “I am always here.

Looking straight forward and the beam of light actually guiding her way, the girl made her way out of the ruins and walked out to meet the eyes of hundreds of people. They all stared at her, bewildered and amazed. Smiling softly, she said to all of them, “I know your pain and you’re hurt, I know this is a memory you will never be able to erase, and I know that it’ll be hard for you to go through life without a worry of this memory to haunt you. The least I can do is not to relieve you of this memory, but to relieve you of the fear and sadness it has caused you.”

Slowly, it started to rain. Still amazed by it all, the people didn’t run to get out of the rain, but stayed to listen some more. The girl smiled at their sudden will to listen and shouted to all of them firmly, “You all have the chance to find shelter from the rain, you all have a place to go, and yet, all of you stay to listen. Not one of you deny nor refuses consoling from the heavens, you all embrace it. This rain is god’s tears and hopes for all of you pay witness here, he wishes for you to rely on him and bear all your suffering onto him. For when you suffer, he suffers too. No longer stray from god for he is your shelter and guide, he will never abandon you. He can’t abandon you, but you can abandon him. Please, relieve yourselves of your burdens and allow yourselves to be consoled. In this way, you will return to god and he will be able to reach you once again.”

The rain became a light shower, while the heavens became bright once more. Her one beam of light became streams of light, shining upon this one part of the city. Unable to believe what was happening right before their very eyes, the people looked back at the girl, who was looking up to the skies with closed eyes and seeming to become brighter. For one moment, all the people believed they saw the girl grow magnificent white wings and wear white priestess robes, but it seemed to be only a split second because when they blinked, the girl’s appearance was back to as it was before.

Smiling joyfully and peacefully, the girl looked forward at nothing and whispered, “Maybe it’s time that I go home. I have said what you wished to say.”

I shall take you home…

All of a sudden, the girl’s wings returned and her robes were back. This time when the people blinked, her appearance stayed the same. A heavenly light radiated from the girl, reminding the people of an angel, as a gust of wind with silver feathers dancing upon it swirled around her. Upon her face was a smile of tranquility and joy as she began to fade. Within a few moments, she was gone and the swirling wind that had surrounded her blew by. The silver feathers still dancing on the wind ascended into the clouds and then fell once more, though in a greater multitude than before.

Remember Who You Are, Larkana

The TV in the classroom crackled to life the next morning, revealing a segment on Channel One about the phenomenon that took place in New York. The two reporters at a desk were talking about a footage taken by one of their reporters that was there.

“That was a truly amazing phenomenon; didn’t you think so, John?”

“I agree, Pat. There has never been something like that in the history of the US.”

“Well, let’s see that footage that Maria took of this amazing spectacle. Roll it!”

The image on the TV shifted to a video of the incident. Once it had ended, the image shifted back to the studio and the reporter, Maria, was standing by a large blank screen. She was smiling brightly and received her turn with ease.

“Thank you and quite a show, John. Well, I’m here in the studio by a large screen. We’ll be having a conference with some significant leaders from around the world, lets hear what they have to say.”

Next to her, the screen flooded with color and four people appeared into the four sections on the screen. Two were religious leaders from Europe, one was an activist from California, and the last was a high-standing priest. Maria conversed with the four, discussing the topic of yesterday’s miracle.

“Okay, so all of you have heard the occurrence that took place yesterday afternoon. What are your thoughts about it?”

“The girl is a menace. She is impersonating an angel, playing into our need for a savior, and when she has us in the palm of her hand, she’s going to turn her back on us!”

“Oh stop speaking such nonsense! The girl is the messiah, a modern day messiah. Didn’t you see how she saved those people?”

“Yes, I saw. It’s an act of the devil in god’s name!”

“If that were true, why did she speak the message that we have been trying to send to the people as god’s messengers? She didn’t rescue those people, god did. That girl is merely god’s medium, spreading the message that he wishes his people to hear.”

“If that were true, why did she leave? Her message would’ve reached more people if she had spoken directly to a reporter or a newscaster. I believe she has a secret motive.”

“She’s the end of us, you hear. We must get rid of her, she’ll endanger our lives!!”

“No, no, I cannot agree. That girl is the messiah sent here to give us divine retribution. Didn’t you see how the heavens opened for her?!”

“Yes, I did. It was a show of lights, nothing more. She’s making us believe she’s god’s angel and messenger. The longer that girl’s identity is kept secret, we can’t trust her.”

“How can you be so sure? You seem so set on this. Have you at least tried to see it from our view?”

“That girl is a threat, no matter how you look at it. She-.”

“I believe she is the messiah or at least an angel. God wouldn’t want his people to die, but they don’t allow themselves to depend on him. In the midst of the flames and death, that girl cried out to only one person out of all the people she could’ve cried to, that person was god. God only responded to her wish, a wish she called out to him and him alone. She allowed herself to be open, to be heard by god. Her desire to save those people is what rescued them with a miracle of the heavens. That girl trusts god with all her heart and soul, we can’t do that no matter what. You have to admit it, that girl is an angel from heaven.”

“Well said, but there is something we’d like to know. On the tape, for a split second, the girl was seen with white wings, a heavenly light, and wearing a white priestess robe. It’s even said that, a short while after everything had suddenly been calmed down, a single beam of light had parted the clouds ever so slightly, streaming down onto her, and had actually led her to safety. And the people who had been in the accident said that they had seen rays of light emanate from the girl and distinguish the flames. What do you have to say about that?”

“She’s an angel.”

“No, she’s the devil’s daughter or even the devil in disguise! I tell you, she’s the devil-“

“Stop it! Please stop!!”

The girl suddenly covered her head and slammed herself against the wall. She drowned out the conversation on the TV with her piercing screams. Crying violently, she shouted at nothing in particular, “I am not the devil. Stop saying I am!! I didn’t do anything wrong!”

The teachers rushed to her side and tried to calm her down, but she wouldn’t be consoled. She couldn’t take it anymore and screamed to the heavens, “I did nothing wrong!! I only wished for those people to live! I couldn’t handle their cries, their pain! I didn’t do anything wrong!! Yet they’re treating me like I brought down the heavens and raised hell!! Why are they treating me this way?!”

Come to me, I shall ease your suffering. Come back to me, my angel Rinera. You are the unnamed creator, the one silently known and felt throughout the earth. You are Larkana, the creator that earth and nature gladly obey without hesitation or doubt. Their will is bended unto your own. Return to me and I shall lift you to the heavens. I shall receive you and return you to your rightful place, at the height of the heavens and the stars. Come back to me…

The girl stared at all those around her with tear-filled eyes. Silent and trustingly, she whispered her response, “Take me back…please return me to where I belong.”

Suddenly before everyone’s eyes, she changed back into the form she had taken the previous day. Everyone in the room stared in awe at her, amazed that she was the one.

Within an instant, the girl was consumed by a bright light and disappeared, though the people of the room could still feel her presence strongly.

All throughout the earth, she appeared before everyone and made herself known. Those one TV, those in school, those at work, everyone could see her in their minds, though having not a single clue as to where she really was. In their minds, they saw her with magnificent white wings, wearing pure white priestess robes, and emanating a most heavenly bright light. Tears fell from her eyes, though a soft and gentle smile was upon her lips. The girl glowed with an inner light so abundant, it was even more powerful than the heavenly light that she emanated.

In a clear and pure voice that resembled crystal if it were a sound, she said to all the people, “Stop ruining yourselves, no longer play into sins. Be received by god, look to the heavens. I shall forgive you, he shall forgive you…it is better to forgive than it is to hate. Forget your worries, your doubts, your faults, and your misdeeds. They are forgiven. Live your lives with worth, justice, and unity that transcends through time. Believe in god, believe in the power that binds us all together. It is time to repent for your past, to forget, and to live anew. Redeem yourselves and life shall seem so much brighter. God shall listen, god shall ease your suffering, and god will lift your burdens. All you must do in return is believe and trust in him. Allow yourselves to be heard, to be healed…”

Open your hearts my people…Return to me, my angel.
