Prologue Part 2

Prologue Part 2

**DOUBLE SPOILER ALERT**

Well, this sucks. The babies died exactly about 70 hours and 57 minutes. All of them,  today I am probably getting some more reports of the rest. Anyways, I think I might have figured it out. The problem is that it is too much for infants. I just have one more test to run before I go to the bigger kids. I am going to use the same formula as before, but have more that one power. I cannot specify exactly how much at the moment or how I will do it. I will be back later to reveal more.

Alright, it worked. I infused them with two powers each this time. They all survived so I have decided to postpone the older children’s tests further. I shall write again tomorrow. Underneath is a list of the power combinations and below a brief description of the actual testing:

  1. Fear and Mind
  2. Strenght and Courage
  3. Love and Fire
  4. Hate and Water
  5. Life and Darkness
  6. Death and Light
  7. Nature and Air
  8. Technology and Earth

I understand they are unusual combinations, but they are the only ones whose molecular structures would bend and adhere perfectly. Below the brief descriptions of the actual testing:

So first up was Strenght and Courage. This was convenient because these are usually the first I use anyways. Oh, my favorite infant was now the eldest and I had to, possibly, destroy his little life. I have named him Angus since long ago and it was a perfect fit now. Oh, well this is an unexpected development. His physical features completely changed! What used to be deep brown hair turned an even deeper shade of red. His eyes from blue to sea green, how peculiar, and his common baby fat reduced to well-defined muscles. Interesting...

Next up, Hate and Water. One of the most random and odd combinations in my opinion. I was hoping to do something like love and hate so that it would have no weakness, but it wouldn’t come together. Oh well, moving on, little was sound asleep. I reached in to pull her out and her eyes popped open, maybe I shall wait on her. She is after all one of the youngest. I chose beautiful Kalani, I don't know why, but I reached in and she looked me in the eyes. She seemed to be saying, “Me, choose me. I will be able to do it,” and choose her I did. Her black hair turned a deep blue, close to her original black. Her huge brown eyes turned a white blue. She really was a sight for sore eyes.

Wow, these effects are very interesting. I cannot wait to see how the next child shall react. Lovely Skylar was just under a year when she grabbed the bottle. I chose to just put the bottle in and see which child would grab it. I knew that would make their fates easier. I put it quite far from her too, near Connor. All of the children kept away from it except her. Skylar was now and forever (or for a long time anyways) Love and Fire. I thought this was quite fitting as they say that the love is an eternal flame. Skylar’s hair turned a shade between bright and deep red with hints of orange. Her eyes a deep red which was very odd. I hoped that it wouldn't affect her future negatively.

Okay, it is very late and I cannot keep my strengths up. I should explain why this is. So, in order to keep them a secret and safe I haven’t even told their parents of their abilities. I was to send them off and slowly kill myself with anything. I decided starvation was the best and easiest to reverse (not that I'm not confident in my experiments, but just in case). I wasn't going all extreme from eating one day to not eating anything the next. I just ate less and less each time. By now I was just eating about three fruits a day, one for each meal. I will start eating a little more so that hopefully I can completely finish tomorrow. I do not intend to waste all of my effort though, just enough to get by for tomorrow with enough strength and still be able to do a complete process in three days. I hope that this will be the final experiment, but I am not sure. If they last at least three days then I shall try three powers at once on the infants again.
You are probably wondering why it doesn't guilt me to destroy so many lives full of wonderful potential. This is for the simple fact that our world is so corrupt I personally feel like I am actually doing them a favor. For those of you who are still skeptical, I got the babies from orphanages about to go broke, so the babies would have most likely died from other causes anyhow. This way, they have more of a chance. Especially because of the fact that the faster they stay alive, the faster I will stop killing them. So about the parents, I bought a building and turned it into a private “orphanage.” This meant it was privately owned and that the parents paid a fee for adopting them and (thank goodness) no unlimited room. The fee they pay goes towards the food for the children and towards the chemicals for my research.
It is the perfect plan, it’s so ingenious. I cannot believe a five-year old came up with such a great plan. That child will be a great scientist. She helps me out with all of my research and cleans and tends to the babies. If it wasn't for the fact that I will (hopefully) soon be departing this world, I would adopt her without giving it a second thought. Well, that is all the strength I have for now.

Author's Note

Gina
There are four parts, each revealing more and being more of a spoiler. I am really against putting it up, but I didn't want to leave it a mystery. However, the prologue's should be read after you finish the complete book (or series, I don't know just yet. I am making it a series, but they don't really continue off of each other.)
