The World Will Grow Old In One Single NightA Poem by G.A. CollinsA song-like poem inspired by the many captivating beliefs of the Fae.He wandered alone to the forest one night, following a tune that was strange to hear, when he came across a girl with a shimmering light, which seems to grow distant as he grew near. The forest was alive with the fragrance of spring, But winter was everywhere, clear to see. The moon shone bright, and a creature besieged Beckoned me closer and said to me: A clearing close in the forest you'll find, A fabulous banquet of faerie kind, Just close your eyes and surrender your mind, And soon, be at peace in the arms of our kind. Come, dance and sing, come with the wild fae- You won't want to leave and forever you'll stay. Join in our song, and get caught in our dance, Once you begin you'll be lost in a trace, Give yourself now, while the vision is bright, And the world will grow old in one single night. © 2013 G.A.
