A small poem dedicated to an angel, who is sorely missed.
The day that changed my life,
As many others heard,
Was the day this sweet child lost his battle,
On September 23rd.
I only knew you briefly,
Though your memory still remains,
A permanent scar across my life
Weld together with joys and pains.
Your heart was your best feature,
Your being, pure and true.
Who knew it was your downfall,
Who know it would be you?
The gods plucked you from us,
Another angel in their midst,
But you still live here, in our hearts,
You're loved, and dearly missed.
This wasn't created for any intensive purposes...it was purely something I wrote in Year 8, to help me come to terms with loosing a friend. It has sentimental value to me, so...be kind. Thanks.

I felt your sentiment and could relate easily with my situation.
Appreciate your creativity at Year 8.

It saddens me to hear that you can relate, but I don't think there is a soul on this earth who hasn't experienced loss. All I can hope is that by retelling his story, through this poem, he will stay alive in our minds and hearts. Thank you for reading and leaving such a kind review.

I appreciate your compassionate words for my case.
I completely agree with you that there is no soul on this earth who hasn't experienced loss.
Your poem may be a great consolation for all who experienced such loss.
Thanks for being so sympathetic.
Hm, a simple, straight forward piece. I don't usually take to reading things of this nature, however I found myself enjoying it. You do very well at displaying the emotion of the piece and invoking it in the reader. I look forward to reading more from you, well done. :D

A very well-written piece, emotional, story-telling with a good rythm to follow. I enjoyed reading it though it carries a sad message.

I like those writes with sentiment... gives the true meaning behind the writer... they can let out the words without force... effortlessly like breathing... this has the content of a memorable moment... and a lasting effect to those who read the lines...

I didn't want to stray into a complex or intricate textualisation, because the reality of the situation was plain and simple in itself. It was just a way for me to combine the facts of the matter, and just say them. I'm glad you could see that.
