TIme of the TIme

TIme of the TIme

A Poem by Anna Marie

Walk in time, midnight time, time of the time

Fluffy cold  mist icing our lashes

Hand in hand, step in step, in synch

FInger tips frozen but our blood beats true to touch

A street lamp flickers our shadows collide

We embrace, arms in place, breath touches

Notes collapse upon our ears from empty barrooms near

The courage we partook bleedens our cheeks a rosy glow

A cheery cadence rings from our depths with laughter

I see you smile, a look only you could give, captivated

Waited all my days to feel this way but it was all gone so soon

A step in time, past time, time of the time

When the canyons echo beside my eyes, Ill remember

Remember this place in time-when you were mine

Once upon a time, In the time of the time

I was a girl naive to the world and her demons

Like a flash in the night, a bolt of lightning, a surge

It was gone, now just pieces, just second hand ticks left behind

Love and life is fragile, as a woman now i see

I see that moments in time are what to live for

Moments that carry us through, through the mountains of life

What bleeds true is once there was us- now theres you-me

In the time of time the reel plays of what used to be

Time takes away the blemishes, and whats left is all that really mattered

What mattered anyway, what matters now, what mattered then

Glimpses of a smile, a grin, moments when light was there

Soak in those moments, those in time moments, the time of the time lives

Lives on even in the cloaks of night when all there is, is time to think

Its time to look to the new moments that are passing me by

But ill never forget, the time of the time.

Time passes, Time Passages, Time flies when you're having fun...Time is Tight, the Time is right.
I like the play on the word all throughout this write...
each smile in time is so individual and expressive.
