When night becomes dayA Poem by Anna MarieMoon you are out tonight Glowing in my sight You cycle, you move Your predictable too To see what you have seen To know what you must know I would give anything What mysteries you bring The secrets you keep Those memories will never leak A man in white with a view He thinks he knows all about you The numbers, the equations All these evaluations It isnt he that holds the key Its all in what you believe All the world slumbers Youre alive in the dead of night An owl flies through the skies Never will it know what beauty you behold A view apart from all the rest You see it all from your nest We come, we go We live, we die It is you that has the truth What a beautiful burden you hold Only eyes to see where you cannot be Looking up or looking down Shadows all around We long to run away to thee Selfish and unclean What wonder, what awe How lucky, how strong To think youd have it any other way Would just be absurd to say Longing to see through the eyes of you To live in constant muse Take me far away Until night becomes day © 2022 Anna MarieFeatured Review
