too young for being tame
too old for playing head games
too young for sweaty things
too old for petty things
too young to cross a line
too old for wasting time
too young to have lived a life
too old for being fine
too young for fuzzy slippers
too old for being bitter
too young for regulation
too old for relegation
too young to completely loose it
too old for s****y music
too young to like pama violets
too old to take any more violence
too young to have seen tragedy
too old not to be taken seriously
too young to have seen everything
too old to know sometimes age means nothing
I can relate to this poem and I like the ending the most
"too old to know sometimes age means nothing"
It is so very true. It's like a transitioning period of ones life and it can be complicated, and beyond annoying. You're expected to act a certain way and do certain things, but you feel to young to do so. Then on the other hand people tell you you're too young you could never understand, yet you do and you can't convince them since all they see is your age, but like you said "age means nothing." I really enjoyed reading this and happy I am not the only one who feels this way. Thanks for sharing.
I like this ...I envisioned a fight between a father and son somehow. like they were trying to out do each other and prove their personal rightness of the age they are. Nicely done!

Ohhh yeah I've read this one before but I'll give a review anyways!
It shows the poignancy of being old yet young at the same time, which its something that I'm sure we all feel sometimes! Great poem, and that part about slippers is funny too, heh!
