promises

a poem about promises

promises promises i have a box full of promises
should i keep them or give some away?
would you like one its only my word
just remember my bond is my world
can i take one of yours?ill put it in my box
ill give you another for the guard and the lock
can i ask for another in that you'll do the same?
and may i remind you that i'm not playing games
my sentiments are as real as that box of hope
the box that i made from just my love
but its not a toy so please don't shake it
because the chances are you'll break it
its too delicate and if it should drop
then i fear all my promises will be all lost

I like the conversational tone and flow of the poem, it moves very smoothly.
There's a couple of spelling mistakes.
Line 4 should be "remember"
ill and youll should be I'll and you'll, respectively.
Gaurd should be guard.
im should be I'm
"its" is the possessive whereas "it's" means it is
keep at it : )

I like the imnagery....love is made up of promises. That's what I read from it at least. And how true is that...they're not games or toys, they are more real then most things in life are!!
