True Love (AP LIT)

English Homework

What can explain a love so true?
A passion that which no koan can confuse.
Something that describes what you feel, or do.
A powerful force that none will refuse.

Love is a turmoil in an artist's muse.
Yet the breath has left from this romantic's use.
It's the loose idea that does not constrain,
the young heart and brain, nor the lion's mane.

Yesh, for English! What do you think!? I feel proud of this poem. Ugh, I really should take a break from poetry... so much things I have to do instead.

* A Koan is a riddle that is meant to confuse Buddhist students in order to help them reach enlightenment. It's meant to make them stop rational thinking.

A poem for an english hw assignment? Odd, thats something one would expect from a creative writing class. My favorite line is the fifth one, its the most poetic. Love... I dont know what to say of it other than it can make or break happiness and meaning. Love is a dying rose in this world...
